Big News in Knit Wit world! We've moved. We loved our quaint little space, but we just outgrew it. Sooo, around the corner we went. We have set up shop in the old Sperryville schoolhouse (aka the old emporium or the former LINK) along with a couple of antique shops, with more to come. We're at the corner of Rt 211 and Rt 522, about half a mile from the old shop. Please come by and see us!

We are settling into our new space. Lots more room, lots more light, great neighbors! and we're packed to the rafters with local yarns and patterns and needles, so you can whip something up for your besties. We even have a couple of fun yarns where one skein makes a great scarf, and it only takes one afternoon! Or, if you'd like to take an even shorter shortcut, we have lovely sweaters and jackets from fair trade organizations from around the globe, not to mention scarves, jewelry, and dangly glass stuff to hang in your windows! My goodness, how can you NOT want to come in here?
Did I mention the fair trade teas? or the soy candles and body lotions? We look forward to helping you find whatever you need! See you soon!

Knit Wit Yarn Shop is a new addition to the charming artisan area in Sperryville, Virginia. Sole proprietor Rebecca Abecassis has lived in the area since elementary school, growing up in Culpeper County. But Rebecca fell in love with Sperryville on many visits to the town with her family on camping trips to the Skyline Drive and has long pictured herself opening a shop amongst the other small businesses in this area. Now, Rebecca is able to combine her love of knitting and her passion for fair trade crafts as well as her desire to support other local artisans. Rebecca is living her dream. Come by the shop and share it with her!
Visit the products page and see the yarns Knit Wit Yarn Shop is carrying. We are also providing classes for all levels of knitters as well as other crafters. If you don't see something you're interested in learning to do, please feel free to inquire about it. If Rebecca knows how to do it (or knows someone who knows someone who does!), we might be able to put a class together! You never know if you don't ask.
