– Beginner Fair Isle Knitting - Headband/Earwarmer - Sunday February 5, 1:00-4:00. Fair Isle knitting looks complicated, but is really quite simple! This classic technique is wonderful for the artistically inclined, as the pattern motifs allow experimentation with color. It is also a great way to use left over same- weight balls of yarn. In this class we'll learn how to strand and read a chart.
Supplies needed: 16" circular needles, size 6 or 7; stitch markers; at least 7 - 1/4 to full balls of sport weight yarn in a pleasing color combination. A row counter is also helpful. We might do a bit of color/yarn trading.
Skill: requires knowledge of knitting and purling. Supplies also available at the shop. This is a Free Class!
